The Blackhawks' Next Showtime in Chicago? The Similarities Between Him and Kane Are Scary
The Chicago Blackhawks have a future Patrick Kane on their hands? It seems so, and if you have yet to hear of him, he is the Blackhawks seventeenth overall pick in 2020 and goes by the name of ''Lukas Reichel''.
Lukas Reichel spent his first pro hockey season with the Rockford Ice Hogs in 2021, and with ease he dominated, in every category, literally... Reichel tallied up 57 points in 56 of his first games played in North America, usually foreign players struggle due to the ice size in North American being much smaller, but Reichel had no problem with it.
Reichel can be compared to Patrick Kane in many categories, both are small 170 pound players who have a gift from the hockey gods when it comes to passing, but what about scoring? Well numbers do not lie, Reichel is a much better passer then shooter- much like Patrick Kane, but also both players can sure bury one past the opposing team when it is go time.
Check out Reichel's fifth goal of the year in Rockford, in just his 8th game played. He looks a lot like Kane here, and even controlled the zone as Kane does now.
