The Buffalo Sabres Make a Special Announcement Fans Will Love

The Buffalo Sabres gave a very special announcement today revealing that they are making a new third jersey similar to the classic worn back in 1996-2006.

The team said it will not officially reveal the uniform until early November, but unveiled a schedule of 12 games it will be worn. It will debut on 90s Night, which will be Nov. 23 against St. Louis.

The team made the announcement on Twitter and even changed its avatar to red and black with the Goathead logo. Here are the games that the Sabres will wear their classic third jersey.

Sunday, Dec. 4 vs. San Jose, 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 13 vs. Los Angeles, 7 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 23 vs. Tampa, 7 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 29 vs. Detroit, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 7 vs. Minnesota, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 21 vs. Anaheim, 12:30 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 26 vs. Washington, 1 p.m.
Saturday, March 4 vs. Philadelphia, 12:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 11 vs. New York Rangers, 5 p.m.
Friday, March 24 vs. New Jersey, 7 p.m.
Thursday, April 13 vs. Ottawa, 7 p.m.

The announcement comes just one day after signing forward Tage Thompson to a seven-year $49.98 million dollar contract extension.

The iconic black jersey were worn by many of Sabres legends such as, Michael Peca, Ryan Miller, and Dominik Hasek. This will no doubt be a big seller when made available again.
