This off-season, the team made a significant move by adding generational talent Connor Bedard. Bedard had a busy season, playing for Regina and participating in the World Juniors before finally arriving in Chicago for development camp.

In his first season, Bedard scored 71-72-143 goals in the WHL and recorded a stat line of 9 goals, 14 assists, and 23 points in the WJC U20's. The Blackhawks have undoubtedly improved with the addition of Bedard.
