Goaltender Matt Murray has been through it all in his NHL career, he has two Stanley Cup rings under his belt that he earned with the Pittsburgh Penguins, before he was shipped away. Murray needed a new contract and needed to be paid accordingly as he was coming off two cup wins in the goal crease, which he shared with Marc-Andre Fleury, the Penguins did not want to pay up and were not willing to move Fleury to make space for Murray.

When Murray left Pittsburgh things went downhill for the goaltenders health, check out his lengthy injury history report below:

After a long awaited recovery from Murray he was finally ready to play again, and decided that the Toronto Maple Leafs would be a good fit, sadly for Murray in just his first start with the Leafs he let in four goals, including multiple soft ones, and one with 18 seconds left to lose the game.

Murray then took place in the teams next practice, where he discovered he pulled his groin. Murray is now out a minimum of four weeks, and will be further evaluated.
