There may be an underlying reason why the New York Rangers acquired Patrick Kane

The New York Rangers have turned their franchise around in a hurry after missing the playoffs in 2020, the Rangers would win the Draft lottery.
In that draft the Rangers selected Alex Lafreniere 1st overall. Lafreniere and his father played a guessing game on the Rangers twitter account asking:
who's Lafreniere's favorite player growing up was? Lafreniere would say he definitely knows who that is, Lafreniere would reveal it was Patrick Kane. This was priceless I can't wait to see Lafreniere's reaction when Patrick Kane joins the Rangers and puts on the jersey for the first time, they may be line mates!
