Earlier today it was announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs were bringing veteran forward Zach-Aston-Reese to camp on a professional try out, but as it turns out, to get there, he had to turn this team down, twice.
The Edmonton Oilers were heavily interested in bringing Aston-Reese to Oil country as Marc Spector reported. However, there was one slight problem. He didn't want to be an Oiler.

Aston-Reese first rejection an offer from Edmonton as a college free agent 5 years ago to begin his National Hockey League with the Pittsburg Penguins.
The 28 year old Aston-Reese skated in 69 regular season games split between the Penguins and the Anaheim Ducks last season scoring 5 goals and adding 10 assists for 15 points.
If he sticks in camp, he could prove to be a valuable depth piece for the Leafs going forward.
