Goaltender Arvid Söderblom was the starter against the Grand Rapid Griffins on Dec. 28, but he left the game a little over six minutes into the first period. He faced five shots before being replaced by Jaxson Stauber, who finished out the game with 25 stops on 26 shots. It was announced this afternoon that Söderblom will miss between two and three weeks with a groin injury.
Söderblom played in five games for the IceHogs so far this season with a record of 1-3. His record is 2-10-2 in 15 games with the Blackhawks. He's played in a handful of NHL starts throughout this season while Petr Mrázek was on injured reserve with a groin injury.
