As general manager Kyle Davidson continues his rebuilding of the Chicago Blackhawks, the team's pool of prospects is steadily growing, offering promising talent to support the team soon.
While
Connor Bedard remains the jewel in the crown, other players within the AHL system are ready to leap the team next year. One such player on this list is forward
Lukas Reichel, a Blackhawks prospect with great potential to become a future star in the NHL.
Reichel showcased his abilities with the Rockford Ice Hogs last season, playing 55 games and amassing an impressive stat line of twenty goals, 31 assists, and 51 points. Additionally, he incurred only 12 penalty minutes, demonstrating his discipline on the ice. (Source:
Under Davidson's leadership, the Blackhawks' lineup continues to evolve, as older and less valuable players make way for future stars from the AHL team and unrestricted free agents.
Players like Reichel are expected to find their place on the roster, where they can prove their worth. Reichel, who was drafted in the first round, 17th overall, in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, is currently signed to a deal worth $925,000 per year.
As the reshaping of the roster unfolds, the future looks bright for the Blackhawks and their prospects.
