United Center Scoreboard Fails to Put The Proper Picture for Jonathan Toews
The United Center in Chicago failed to give Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews a special moment during their game against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night. The scoreboard mistakenly displayed the name and number of the teams defenseman Nikita Zaitsev instead of Toews', as the crowd eagerly awaited to see our captains name.
The mistake was noticed quickly by fans and officials, and the correct information was displayed shortly after. While the mistake was unfortunate, it did not take away from the overall significance of the moment.
Toews, who has been out of the lineup since December due to an undisclosed illness, was welcomed back with a standing ovation from the crowd.
Although the scoreboard may have failed to give Toews his special moment, the outpouring of support from the fans and his team made it clear that he is still a beloved and respected figure in Chicago.
