The saga that is the Arizona Coyotes continues to wind its way through the news as one debacle after another continues to pile up. The latest problem is that the city of Tempe Arizona voted down the idea of a $2.3 billion arena real estate deal due to the city taxpayers not wanting the team in the first place.

Ever since the old Winnipeg Jets moved to Arizona, the operation of this franchise has been brutal. It appears that Commissioner Gary Bettman has doubled down every time to try to keep this sad organization afloat even when the NHL owned them at some point recently.

The state of the team is obvious amongst the players including goaltender and starter Karel Vejmelka who sounded off his displeasure about playing their home games in ASU.

Everything he is saying is right. It holds 5000 seats and the team can't even sell out, let alone stupid prices and the fact the team is tanking in the standings year after year it's almost impossible to grow a fan base that trusts them to evolve something more than a laughingstock of the NHL.

It's time that Bettman decides to move off of this team and relocate it to a city that will support them fully and where a building has already been constructed and is ready for use. As much as most Canadians would love to see another team in Quebec City,

I have a feeling that the NHL wants the next team whether it be an expansion or relocation of the Coyotes stay in the Western Conference to keep the balance.
