A lot of Blackhawks fans are unsure how to feel following this years NHL draft. On one hand, the Blackhawks got into the first round and made 3 good picks. On the other hand, it them both Alex DeBrincat and Kirby Dach to get those picks. This move upset a lot of fans, the Alex DeBrincat trade in particular. Many fans feel the Blackhawks failed to get an adequate return for a quality player such as Alex DeBrincat. And those fans would be right. The Blackhawks 100% should have, and could have gotten a bigger haul. However, with the the other trade for Kirby Dach, the Blackhawks acquired the 13th overall pick in the draft. And with that pick, the Blackhawks selected 18 year center Frank Nazar. Many people in the hockey world were surprised to see Nazar fall so far. So even though the DeBrincat trade overshadows it, this really could turn out to be the steal of the 2022 NHL draft.
Just watch this video that shows how bright Frank Nazar's future could actually be in the NHL:
And on top of everything in the video, Nazar is also a Michigan commit. So he's going to be playing high level hockey at one of the best programs in all of college hockey. With some good guidance, he could be a game changer for the Blackhawks sometime in the future.
