World Junior Championship Player Tragically Passes Away at The Age of 26

Former World Junior Champion Michele Basso has passed away at the age of 26 after a brave battle with bone sarcoma, a type of bone cancer.
Basso, known for his dedication to hockey, represented Italy in various championships and played in the Italian league.
Former Italian World Junior Championship member, and Italian league defenseman, Michele Basso has unfortunately passed away at the age of 26 after a long battle with a disease.
Basso played for italia.hockey's U18 team in 2014-15, and their U20 team in 2015-16. He also played 11 games with Asiago in the Italian League in 2015-16.
His memory will continue to inspire the hockey community.
