A 6-foot-11 250lb beast emerges in the Chicago Blackhawks organization?
Penn State Hockey has a commit that will be a huge problem for its competitors. As a Moldovan-born defenseman, Alexander Karmanov committed to the university.
At 6'11", 251 pounds, his stature will be an issue for NCAA teams everywhere, and at 16 is not done growing yet.
Karmanov played in three different leagues including a (U16 and U 18 league) last season.
He played 25 games, scoring 9 points ( 2 G, 7 A), and will be eligible for the NHL Draft in 2026.
He seems like someone who could help the Blackhawks' defense in the future.
He could end up the first Moldovan NHLer, and if ends up playing in the NHL would be the tallest NHLer ever, as Zdeno Chara, former Stanley Cup Champion stands at 6'9".
Should GM Kyle Davidson draft him in 2026?
