Bedard was dominant through the first three games of the tournament as he had scored five goals and one assist, but yesterday's game was different as he was unable to register a point let alone a shot on goal.
The Canadians ended up winning the game 4-1 as Brandon Tanev, Andrew Mangiapane, Dylan Cozens and Jared McCann scored all goals to secure the win.
This experience for Bedard is vital in his development as he enters his second year in the NHL. It will provide him experience to work with other players that have been stars in the past and are currently on their teams even though they're not in the playoffs.
Bedard has had quite the first season as he has one the Calder trophy for best rookie of the year, breaking his jaw mid season and being caught up in a terrible conspiracy rumor driven mess involving former Blackhawks forward Corey Perry. All the while he had played 68 games scoring 22 goals with 39 assists for 61 points.
It remains to be seen on who will be added to the Blackhawks roster for next season as the team gears up for the offseason. But many hope that Bedard will take the next stride in his development and take his game to the next level.
