"The Chicago Blackhawks are off to an extremely disappointing start to the season and now it's setting NHL records. With their 0-5-1 start to the season and 6-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, they've done something nobody has ever done before. Just like the rest of the season, the Hawks didn't hold a lead during their game against the Red Wings and now haven't held a lead for 360 minutes and 57 seconds to start the season. It's now the longest streak to start a season since at least 1979-80. The previous record was 350 minutes and 25 seconds by the Washington Capitals during the 2000-01 season. Nothing general manager Stan Bowman put together during the offseason has worked out so far as the downward spiral to start the season continues. To make matters worse, Patrick Kane is currently sidelined with his name on the COVID-19 list. They'll face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday.
