"The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman announced a move on Wednesday. After sending Dylan Sikura down to the AHL this week, the team has decided to call up a defenseman from Rockford on Wednesday. The team has called up Dennis Gilbert from Rockford. It's his first call up to the NHL and is just 22 years old. The 6'2, 200lb lefty has registered 14 points in 59 games so far this season down in the AHL.
Gilbert played Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday for the IceHogs. We'll see if he makes his NHL debut tonight. — Scott Powers (@ByScottPowers) April 3, 2019
