"The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman have dipped their feet in the free agent market. Reports have surfaced that the Blackhawks have signed free agent forward Ryan Carpenter from the Vegas Golden Knights. Carpenter signs a three year deal that carries a AAV of $1million. It's a low risk move by Bowman as he continues to try and rebuild his bottom six with cheap penalty killing forwards. This along with the Andrew Shaw trade gives that Hawks two guys that can dig out pucks from tough areas.
