According to Frank Seravalli of thedailyfaceoff.com, Hurricanes pending restricted free agent Martin Necas may be traded by Saturday as rumors continued to heat up around the young forward.

Seravalli feels that many teams are quite interested and will continue to work the phones to try to craft the deal.

The 25-year-old center have been unhappy with how he has been deployed with the team and has seen his numbers diminish over the course of this season. It was well known after his father Martin Necas Sr chose to take to the media stating how his son would like to be traded to a team that would give him the proper minutes that he deserves in his words. Former Carolina GM Don Wadell was quick to respond to his comments with some of his own.

In the Blackhawks case, the team has plenty of assets to offer Carolina to try to pry him from the Hurricanes. A player of his caliber would certainly boost there rebuild as he would be their second line centre and likely on their top power play which are two key factors in Necas' wants.

He would provide the Blackhawks more primary scoring as he has been a steady 25 to 30 goal scorer in the past several years with the Hurricanes. Through 77 games this season, he scored 22 goals with 29 assists for 53 points. The year prior he played 82 games and had 71 points.

Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson appears to be ready and pumped for the draft and for this offseason as many feel the Blackhawks are ready to make a big splash and help accelerate their rebuild.
