Connor Bedard set to get his own Amazon Prime TV show?
The last time the NHL was on Amazon Prime, was during the 2021-2022 season, and they followed the Toronto Maple Leafs on the series "All Or Nothing", of which the Blackhawks' own Nick Foligno was a participant.
Now the NHL and Amazon are in discussion to produce a series following 10 to 12 NHL players.
But they should consider someone, like Connor Bedard as one of the players to follow during this series as well.
He should be a prime candidate, literally as the leader in the Calder Trophy hunt, with 55 points in 57 games this season.
Not only that, but his arrival in the NHL has been nothing short of a revelation to NHL fans, as they crave Bedard content, constantly. Bedard's skills are a highlight of every night he plays and is the new face of the Blackhawks franchise.
Bedard is an NHL player who is not afraid to show his personality on and off the ice, and the NHL forgets that to bring new fans into the fold, they need to focus on the human element of the game. Like his media scrums, or the time he takes to show fans appreciation with a puck, or signing merchandise he could help grow a sport, led by dinosaurs.
Not only would his personality be a huge marketing coup, but it would allow us to see the full spectrum relationship between Nick Foligno and Connor Bedard.
Being anointed savior in an Original Six franchise is pressure enough, and we could see how Foligno educates Bedard daily and how great of a friendship they have.
