The Chicago Blackhawks are trying to fight the good fight and make it back into the playoff race. However that goal is unlikely to be reached. The Blackhawks are looking like sellers and we've heard that Kyle Davidson won't have any restrictions as interim GM. One player we're pretty sure will be gone is defenseman Calvin de Haan. The 30 year old is in the final year of his deal that carries an AAV of $4.55million which has led to speculation the Hawks will likely have to eat some salary in a trade. We've heard some soft trade options however it looks like we've got a serious one. According to New York Rangers' insider Arthur Staple, the Rangers have identified de Haan as a possible trade target. The Rangers have plenty of cap space so they might not be looking for a huge amount of salary retained. They've also got two 2nd round picks, something the Hawks need as they don't have their own 1st (Seth Jones trade) and only have 1 2nd round pick.A de Haan trade for a 2nd which includes some of de Haan's salary retain might work. Would you make this trade?
