Heartbreaking: cause of death for 24 year old goaltender revealed
The QMJHL's Gatineau Olympiques have reported a tragic loss this weekend, as 24 year old goalie, Creed Jones has passed away.
Creed Jones started his career in the QMJHL with the Olympiques and would play with two other teams. Afterwards he would head to college to play for the University of Ottawa.
His time in the QMJHL was primarily with the Olympiques playing 64 games with the junior team.
It is with great sadness that the Gatineau Olympic organization learned of the death of one of our alumni, Creed Jones. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
His impact was felt by fans, who would share their condolences with the Jones family and the Olympiques.

Jones would play 24 games with the Rimouski Oceanic, and 5 with the St. Johns Sea Dogs. His career totals are: 27-47-8 and had two shutouts with the Rimouski Oceanic in 2019-2020.
He will be sorely missed by family, friends and the organizations he was a part of.

Former Oceanic goaltender, Creed Jones, tragically died at the age of 24 following a motorcycle accident on Friday night on Highway 417 in the Ottawa region. His host families in Rimouski are in shock.»
