While there's still lots of questions that need to be answered to officially start the 2020-21 season, teams are still looking ahead at the 2021-22 season as well. The Seattle Kraken will be joining the league which means another expansion draft and much like the Vegas expansion draft, we could see teams lose some pretty big pieces. It'll pretty much be the exact same rules which means that any player with a full no movement clause will have to automatically be protected. That means the Hawks' big guns won't be going anywhere but they'll be losing somebody. Scott Powers and Mark Lazerus of The Athletic recently put together a piece looking at who the Blackhawks will likely lose. According to the duo, the most likely candidate to leave Chicago and move to Seattle is Connor Murphy."In an ideal world, the Blackhawks would protect Murphy. At 27, he's just entering the prime years for a defenseman. He's gotten better every year since being acquired for Niklas Hjalmarsson before the 2017-18 season, and he's probably been the Blackhawks' most reliable defenseman for at least the last two seasons. But Stan Bowman is putting a lot of faith in Nikita Zadorov as a linchpin of the Blackhawks' future, and the no-movement clauses of Keith and Seabrook don't allow for any wiggle room. Unless Seabrook is open to a fresh start in Seattle — and unless Bowman is willing to eat a ton of money and offer a significant sweetener to make it happen — Murphy could be available."Would you be OK with losing Murphy during the expansion draft?
