Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister issues a statement on the tragic death of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
Johnny Gaudreau was taken from us all, by a reckless drunk driver in rural, Salem, New Jersey.
He was in town for his sister's wedding, which he'll never attend and we'll never be able to see him on ice again.
Johnny's impact was far-reaching as Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada issued a statement on Gaudreau's untimely death.
Trudeau's emotional statement reflects what many of us are thinking, whether in Canada, America, or wherever Gaudreau impacted you.
He left an indelible mark on the sport of hockey and will be remembered, especially during the 2021-2022 season which saw the Flames make a deep run in the playoffs.
Gaudreau leaves behind a plethora of distraught NHL fans, including Calgary and Columbus, who organized impromptu vigils for the fallen winger.
He is survived by his father Guy, mother Jane, Wife Meredith, Sister's Kristen and Katie, and children Noa, and Johnny Jr.
