Power outage announcement by NHL delays game time start and upsets fans at Canadian Tire Centre

Tuesday nights matchup between the St.Louis Blues and Ottawa Senators in Ottawa Ontario, at the Canadian Tire Centre, contained an interesting twist that left many fans confused.

The arena suffered a power outage, and according to fans on social media, the NHL and Ottawa Senators sent a social media post out warning fans, but did not let the fans in attendance know interesting?

Via the NHL PR communications account they announced the game delay and estimated a 15 minute wait over the original pick drop of 7PM ET.

Fans are even taking jabs at the Senators for not paying their electrical bill'.

It's most definitely left fans in a limbo due to the Canadian Tire Centre's technical issues, or storm related power-outages, the reasoning has not been specified yet.

The Senators and Blues took the ice for warmups but when they returned to their locker room the power went totally out, by the time the power gets back on the Blues and Senators may need another warmup as the delay likely caused some cold feet.

It's not the first time this happens!!!

Bad team, bad building. Ottawa can't have nice things.

Can I request some AC/DC Thunderstruck while we wait for the delay.

It was also Halloween night at the Sens arena, mixed with the power outage- added a spooky twist!

Well while we wait for puck drop, shout out to #Sens fans for who came out tonight in their Halloween finest

With the amount of revenue, would you expect the NHL to have generators to avoid delays in case of power outages?
