NHL commissioner lays down a ban towards NHL enforcer Milan Lucic
Milan Lucic was reported to have been grinding it out in New Jersey, training for an eventual return to the NHL, or so he hoped.
However, due to the DV Charges that were levied against the former Bruins forward, Gary Bettman and the NHL have banned Lucic from returning to the NHL.
His wife used marital privilege to forego testifying about Lucic after his arrest, which as of February the charges were dropped.
Lucic would take an indefinite leave of absence from the NHL and enter the player's assistance program.
While he is a UFA, he is unable to speak to NHL teams until Bettman and the NHL reinstate him.
So, could this spell the end of the NHL veteran's career?
More as the story develops.
