NHL issues major Winter Classic announcement for Blues vs Blackhawks
The NHL has provided the official date and time for the Blues-Blackhawks Winter Classic, which will be held at Wrigley Field.
The venue is set to host the event for the second time, with the previous occurrence taking place on January 1, 2009, featuring a match between the Blackhawks and the visiting Detroit Red Wings.
Breaking tradition, altering the schedule
Breaking away from tradition, the NHL has brought forth a scheduling alteration. As a result, the Winter Classic will now be observed on New Year's Eve. The NHL has officially posted on X with further details.
