Robin Lehner's Bankruptcy Case Takes Troubling Turn as his Own Lawyer Abandon Him
NHL goaltender Rob Lehner's lawyer ditch him, things take a concerning turn
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Rob Lehner's career has gone downhill throughout the past four seasons, and this summer he sadly hit rock-bottom.
Lehner filed for bankruptcy, and now it appears that his legal team and lawyers representing the 33-year old NHL veteran, have dropped him.
The reason for his legal team to part ways is due to being ghosted, AKA they have not heard from Lehner in quite some time.
Lehner has not suited up in an NHL game since 2022, where shortly before he underwent a hip surgery that some would now say- changed it all.
He has ghosted NHL organizations as well, not just his lawyers.

Following that sticky scenario, Lehner assets frozen amid allegations of frivolous spending
"Throughout the Chapter 7 filing, communication with the debtors, particularly Mr. Lehner, has been difficult and often sporadic, requiring attempts to reach Mr. Lehner through individuals who worked to facilitate communication between Mr. Lehner and Larson & Zirzow [law firm].
Since estimated early June 2024, communication from Mr. Lehner has completely ceased, despite repeated contact attempts by Larson & Zirzow using a variety of methods to not only Mr. Lehner himself but also to the individuals who previously facilitated the communication."
Reports from the court in Sweden reveal that the Lehner's have not found someone to represent them in regards to legalities, as they have been ghost.
In my opinion, it sounds like Lehner and his wife may choose to represent themselves moving forward in their bankruptcy case.
I personally do not believe we will see Robin Lehner suit up in an NHL game, and he has retired- but not officially.
The 33-year old is still under contract with the Golden Knights and is on year five of his five-year deal.
