Superstar Connor Bedard stars in brand new ESPN documentary
What do Connor Bedard, Andrei Svechnikov, and Trevor Zegras have in common? In the NHL they have shown off their flashy skills, scoring what used to be a rarity in Svechnikov's days, by scoring Michigan goals.
Bedard following the steps of Svech and Zegras, gained far more acclaim, scoring a Michigan goal in December, against the St. Louis Blues and Jordan Binnington.
Not only did he continue to build on his reputation that he is a threat to be dealt with, but he also has the skills to give any NHL goalie a headache on the flip of a switch.
CONNOR BEDARD MICHIGAN GOAL‼️ THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
Bedard, Svechnikov, and Zegras are all skilled players who have at one point scored a Michigan goal. They have normalized its usage in game-time play, with Zegras having the help of Sonny Milano at one point facilitate the risky shot.
NHL Insider Greg Wyshynski detailed the fact that Bedard and Zegras will be featured in a documentary by ESPN called: "The Michigan".
Featured players also include Andrei Svechnikov who completed the goal first in the NHL, and Mike Legg who completed the goal in the NCAA with the University of Michigan, hence the namesake.
He may have never made it to the NHL, but his influence remains as players like Connor Bedard continue to perform the showy goal.
John Tortorella is angry somewhere.
Very cool feature coming to @SportsCenter: "The Michigan," featuring Mike Legg, Connor Bedard, Trevor Zegras and Andrei Svechnikov.
«The Michigan» will debut Sunday, April 14 during the 8 am ET hour of SportsCenter and will re-air in other editions of the show Sunday and Monday.
