Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid says it all to a reporters face
When the Edmonton Oilers won Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals, Connor McDavid has gone viral after an interview with NHL media, which of course doubted the Oilers.
The Oilers would again, declaw the Panthers and win Game 5, with superstar Connor McDavid delivering a 4-point game.
Postgame with NHL Media, Connor McDavid would mention how excited they had pulled the series back to Edmonton with a Game 6 on the horizon.
I love playing in the playoffs. I love playing with this group. It's been a fun ride, and we're glad it's going to go one more day. But that's all we've earned here: Another day, another flight. We'll be ready to go in Edmonton on Friday
When he was done talking about how he felt, securing a Game 6 for the Oilers, he asked the Media, how they felt being dragged halfway across North America as the Oilers keeps pulling off victories, the comment seemed to spite them definitely.
You guys excited for your flight? I'm just making you guys fly, McDavid said in a clip that was caught by the ESPN social media team
This is in reference to an inside joke, by both Connor Brown and Connor McDavid, of course former Eerie Otters.
Prior to Game 5 on Tuesday, McDavid and teammate Connor Brown shared the same mantra to the media: «Drag em back to Alberta,» a reference to a potential Game 6 being played this Friday night in Edmonton.
Connor McDavid and Connor Brown could use Game 6 to force the final 7th game to keep the Media in Edmonton, as they won't ever count themselves out against the Florida Panthers.
