Guttman, who has been a key player in AHL Rockford and a great depth addition in the NHL, when he gets the time gets to spend another year in the Windy City.
He signed a one-year, two-way contract at NHL league minimum, which is $775K for Guttman's services.
The 25-year-old, would play in 27 games this season with the Chicago Blackhawks and averaged 12:37 TOI. His totals in the NHL for 2023-2024 saw him score 8 points( 4 G, 4 A) and a plus/minus of -17 on the bottom-dwelling Blackhawks.
Guttman made his NHL debut in 2022-2023 and has scored 14 points total( 8 G and 6 A) and has played 41 career NHL games during his career so far.
But in the AHL, Guttman was a point-per-game player scoring 40 points( 24 G, 16 A) in 39 games with the IceHogs.
He set a career-high last season and in 78 games in the AHL has scored 70 points( 32 G, 38 A).
Prior to turning pro, Guttman played four season at Denver University in the NCAA, and served in a leadership role in 2021-2022 as the team Captain.
During the 2021-2022 season, he also recorded a career-high 45 points( 19 G, 26 A) and helped push Denver University into the NCCA championship with a goal and an assist for it's record-tying, Ninth NCAA championship win.
Guttman ranks 53rd in program history at Denver University with 121 points( 55 G, 66 A) in 140 games.
Guttman would be selected 180th overall in the Sixth Round of the 2017 Draft and would be signed by the Blackhawks in 2022, when the Tampa Bay Lightning, who drafted him refused to re-sign him.
