Blackhawks Senior Advisor issues official statement on Patrick Kane returning
With Patrick Kane saying "goodbye" to the Detroit Red Wings, after he spent a little more than half a season with the team, he'll be a sought-after free-agent.
Does that mean that the Blackhawks will be one of the bidders for Patrick Kane's return to the Windy City?
According to the Blackhawks Senior Advisor Brian Campbell, he went the safe and passive route when answering the question.
We had #Blackhawks Hockey Ops Advisor Brian Campbell on the show yesterday and asked him if he had an official statement on Patrick Kane returning to Chicago.
The question which many fans want to know, will Kane be a Blackhawk again?
To which, Campbell deflected the question to Kyle Davidson and Danny Wirtz, meaning Campbell is going hands-off.
He wouldn't offer his own personal statement on the matter either, so is this the official Blackhawks line on a Kane reunion in the future, or is it just the answer for now?
We all know how great he's been since his return from hip resurfacing surgery.
Kane played 50 games with the Red Wings, showcasing the glimpses of "Showtime" we missed.
He scored 47 points(20 G, 27 A) this season and will be one of the biggest free agents available come July 1st.
Brian Campbell managed to avoided the fine jar, so good for him!
