New York Rangers trade second-overall pick Kaapo Kakko to the Seattle Kraken in unexpected trade

The New York Rangers organization has been in shambles as of late, and the organization has taken charge.

Head coach Peter Laviolette scratched forward Kaapo Kakko, the teams' former second-overall pick, and Kakko was quite surprised.

«I was surprised, yeah. I know you've got to do something as a coach when you're losing games, but I think it's just easy to pick a young guy and boot him out. That's how I feel, to be honest.»

Kakko's bold words, stated to New York Rangers' reporter Mollie Walker certainly went trending in the media.

Ultimately deciding Kakko's fate with the Rangers, leading to a trade with the Seattle Kraken.

This seems as though it's a landslide win for the Kraken, Will Borgen is a former 90th overall draft pick, where Kakko is a second with high potential and much... MUCH younger.

Desperation sparked this move, forcing the Rangers to trade Kakko over his recent words stated for a much cheaper return than deserved.

I'm no expert but this literally feels like a workplace retaliation tactic. Kid speaks his mind (the truth) and immediately gets traded. Honestly he's better off IMO

Said a fan, which is ultimately the truth.

In your opinion, who won this trade?
