NHL Insider Frank Seravalli provided an update earlier in the summer regarding the 2018 World Juniors Hockey Canada Scandal and its ominous consequences. As a result, Seravalli believes that the investigation's results will be revealed soon, along with suspensions for NHL players.
The St. Louis Blues' Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas, both members of the 2018 Hockey Canada team, released statements that they had no involvement in the assault. In subsequent statements, other players denied involvement in the assault.
A number of players who are represented by the same agency, including Taylor Raddysh, Carter Hart, Jake Bean, Kale Clague, and Colton Point, have released statements claiming they were not involved. Cale Makar, Victor Mete, Connor Timmins, Sam Steel and Jonah Gadjovich have also denied involvement.
There was no comment regarding the allegations from Alex Formenton or Drake Batherson of the Ottawa Senators. Last season, Formenton and Ottawa were unable to reach an agreement by Dec 1st, so he hasn't played in the NHL since.
