Rockford Ice Hogs complete emergency roster move
The Rockford IceHogs, the AHL team linked with the Chicago Blackhawks, made a quick move by bringing back defenseman Andrew Perrott from the Indy Fuel of the ECHL.
The 22-year-old already played 17 games with the IceHogs this season, scoring a goal and three assists, and got 31 penalty minutes.
In his five games with the Indy Fuel, Perrott managed to get one assist and had 35 penalty minutes.
The decision to bring him back to the IceHogs shows they want to address some immediate needs and strengthen their defensive lineup.
You can catch Perrott playing when the Rockford IceHogs go up against the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena on Friday, January 12, with the game starting at 6 p.m. CT.
This move highlights how player assignments can change quickly within the Blackhawks organization as they deal with the ups and downs of the season.
