The Chicago Blackhawks gave up 5 goals last night to a team in the Buffalo Sabres who lost thirteen games in a row, before beating the Islanders on December 23rd.
The effort on the ice against the Sabres proved to be dismal, and the team lacked the fortitude we've seen against top teams in the NHL.
The Blackhawks will have to tighten up before tomorrow when they face off against the Dallas Stars and the Winter Classic.
Head Coach Anders Sorensen wants to improve their 12-22-2 record and these next two games can get them back on track.
So this morning at the Fifth Third practice rink, we got to see Connor Bedard thrill us with a slick goal.
The goal was a slick shot, which went between the goalie's legs, and gave us a pretty good spectacle.
It's another instance of Bedard showing us, his confidence has returned and isn't afraid to shoot the puck anymore!.
This season Bedard has played 36 games with the Blackhawks and scored 31 points( 9 G, 22 A).
Head Coach Anders Sorensen has reshaped the offense to suit the strengths of the new-look Hawks.
They can hopefully use this intensity to thrive and deliver us wins against the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues.
The Bedard goal was simply a beauty, coming from the side and going five hole in what looked to be preparation for the upcoming bout against their rivals, the St. Louis Blues.
The Blackhawks are 1-5-0 in outdoor games, and Tuesday could be a change in fortune for the team, if Bedard can deliver a win.
