Chicago Blackhawks Alternate Captain, Nick Foligno has his finger on the pulse of the front office.

He echoed the goal of what Kyle Davidson has to accomplish and that is an improvement of the Blackhawks, every season.

While the team may not be a Stanley Cup contender next season, their mandate is obvious, it's to improve.

Kyle Davidson stated emphatically that the Blackhawks cannot have another season like the one they just had.

While he is realistic and knows they won't be competing for a Cup anytime soon, he expects improvement next season.

Which means, including the draft what are his goals?

It sounds like improvement through trades during the off-season, along with competition for roster spots again next season.

The rebuild continues, as Davidson and company seek to find the puzzle pieces to make the Blackhawks into the dynamic, contenders they used to be in the 2000s-2010s.

«We have to change. I want to change. We can't go through this again. And I certainly won't allow it.

«Either the mindset changes from the group or personnel changes.»

Nick Foligno

It seems Foligno knows what to expect, and maybe deserves a "C" while we're at it!

The Blackhawks finished the 2023-2024 regular season, with a 23-53-6 record and 52 points, far out of a playoff spot.

Improvement is a mandate and building through the draft is the prescription.
