After joining, he had to discard his old #19 which he wore at Notre Dame as the team assigned him a new number.
The team has assigned Slaggert #84, which the Hawks joked about, as they were originally saving it for Hall of Fame wide receiver, and former Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots menace, Randy Moss.
Landon Slaggert wore #19 at Notre Dame, but he won't be wearing it in Chicago

Slaggert must feel honored to be in such company, he has a lot to live up to the personality of one of the NFL's best wide receivers.
Slaggert, who, unlike Moss, is more likely from South Bend, has something in common with Rudy Ruettiger than Moss if we're being honest.
Slaggert had a career year in the NCAA, playing 36 games for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, posting 20 goals and 11 assists for 31 points in the 2023-2024 season.
