The top Chicago Blackhawks defenseman has been absent from the lineup for the last 16 games after an injury to his foot.
The last time Jones suited up for the Hawks, they still had Luke Richardson as a head coach, with a 6-10-1 record, with a -10 goal differential.
Now with Interim Coach Anders Sorensen taking the reins, Jones will be slotting in on a lineup that has been playing remarkably better. Before the injury, Jones had been on a pace to score 49 total points for the season.

He will slot in tonight on the right side with familiar defense partner Alex Vlasic, on the top-pairing.
The two were stuck together for the majority of last year and were arguably the Blackhawks' top defenseman.
Jones has been the original-six franchise's top defenseman since the team began the rebuild.
He's acquired the "A" as an alternate Captain and has the responsibility of playing 25:26 time on the ice nightly.
Jones has played 234 games with the Blackhawks since his arrival in Chicago in 2021 and can play in multiple scenarios for the team.
According to DailyFaceOff, he'll slot in on the 2nd power-play unit, and 2 penalty-kill units for the Hawks.
The team plays the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome today.
