A recent post on Instagram by puck empire has shown that Chicago Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard is linked to Frank Nighbor, the first NHL MVP in league history through 10 players.

There are many notable names on that list including Keith Tkachuk, Tyler Johnson, Dallas Smith and Don Gallinger.

The breakdown of the post shows all players who have played with the other from the year 1923 all the way till last year. That's an incredible 100 years of history an it's only through 10 people. Nighbor who was born in Pembroke ON Canada played for the original Ottawa Senators who were part of the NHA and the NHL.

He played with several other organizations including the Toronto Blueshirts, Vancouver Millionaires and then the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL. He has his name on the original Stanley Cup five times which includes once with the millionaires and four times with the Senators.

Bedard is set to begin his second season in the NHL with many who feel he will take the next step as the team has bolstered its lineup with more veteran players and better skilled players especially with their draft choices.

They've acquired several defensemen, a goaltender and offensive players who should give the Blackhawks a better chance in the standings and likely will move north closer to that coveted playoff spot they're all working towards.

It remains to be seen on how well the Blackhawks will play but time will tell with training camp set to begin in mid-September.
