It became clear that the Wild were gaining the momentum during the final moments in the second period When the team continued to cycle the puck in the Blackhawks end. Mrazek Ended up losing his stick on the play and as the Blackhawks continued to focus on trying to defend their zone no one handed his stick back to him.
It wasn't till Hall decided to hand his stick over to his goaltender to at least give him a chance to save a shot which he did and helped stop the play. This move shows his leadership and understanding of the game as his goaltender was in trouble.
Hall has had a meagre start of this season as through 16 games, he has scored two goals with four assists for six points and is a - 5 with 15 minutes and 17 seconds of ice time on average. Many hope this will be his first full season back after he had a disastrous first year with the Blackhawks by only playing 10 games due to a significant injury.
The Blackhawks ended up winning that game 2-1 in overtime and the team is continuing to find it's consistency as they have gone 4-6-0 in their last 10 games. The team continues to struggle with some of their defensive play as they currently are a - 8 in their goal differential which needs to improve to move up in the standings.
Mrazek had another great performance as he only allowed one goal and had 32 saves and gave himself a .970 save percentage on the night. The Blackhawks will take their game on the road for their next two contests as they will play against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night November 14th and then against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday November 16th. Both games will be held at 10:00 PM eastern.
