Tragedy Strikes Hockey Players After Freak Car Wreck
The WBS Knights are a junior team with players in the NCDC and USPHL. Three of their USPHL players suffered a tragic car accident this week.
The players involved are a part of the team which is affiliated with the USPHL, a tier 3 junior hockey league in the United States.
Francis Gauvin, Antoni Gauvin, and Roberts Kravalis were those involved in the wreck on Wednesday. According to the team's Facebook page, they've had to undergo several major surgeries and will have a long path to recovery in the future.
At the moment they're being visited by WBS Coaches, and being comforted by their families in the hospital.
They are receiving exceptional care at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital and are being comforted by family members and WBS coaches.
The team has put together a post on their Facebook page calling for the community to come together and foster a positive atmosphere for the players who are currently recovering from their injuries.
Now, more than ever, we need to rally together as a community. Let's send an outpouring of love, prayers, and positive vibes to these young athletes, their families, and their teammates during this difficult time. Your support truly makes a difference and means everything to them.

Origins of the team itself:
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are a junior ice hockey organization from Pittston, Pennsylvania.[2] In 2015, the Knights' junior hockey organization purchased the dormant Dawson Creek Rage franchise in the Tier II North American Hockey League (NAHL) and placed their Tier III franchise in the Eastern Hockey League into dormancy. The organization has reactivated and deactivated their Tier III level teams at various times, but plans to launch teams in the United States Premier Hockey League's Premier and Elite Divisions, non-USA Hockey sanctioned leagues that operate similar to the Tier III level. The organization also has several youth ice hockey teams in its development program.
The ages of players involved in the WBS Knights USPHL squad age from 16-20 and have amateur status with hopes of making it to US and Canadian major junior teams, with hopes ot making it pro one day.
We wish a steady and healthy recovery for Antoni, Francis, and Roberts.
