Blackhawks star Connor Bedard gave a young New York Rangers fan a memory that they will hold on 2 as he gave one of his sticks to them after the Blackhawks defeated the Rangers 2-1 at Madison Square Garden.
This act continues to show how much class this young star is showing and how far ahead he is mentally when it comes to the intensity of the NHL and what it's all about which is fan experience.
This season has been the toughest in Bedard's hockey career as he has witnessed his stats and gameplay take a large dip and has shown his frustrations in front of many fans whether it's on his bench or on the ice.
Even though he hasn't bulged that wine since December 1st against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Bedard has been active when it comes to assists and putting some points on the board.
With the squad that he has in front of him and the lack of highly skilled players at his level it's safe to say that the decline was inevitable for Bedard.
Many feel that the Blackhawks should begin their youth movement and start to call up some of the Rockford ice hogs like
Frank Nazar and
Kevin Korchinski to get them back into the NHL game and give them some time in the Windy City.
It's expected that many of the veterans that were picked up during the summer's free agency, will likely be heading to the trade deadline as teams who are contenders will likely inquire about their services including
Taylor Hall and
Teuvo Teravainen.
This win was the first for Sorensen have the Blackhawks hope to build off this win as they will continue their East Coast Road swing and take on the New York Islanders on Long Island on Thursday December 12. Game time will be 7:30 PM eastern.
