This is a big season for NHL equipment, as Fanatics are officially taking over making the jerseys and supplying them.
Last season marked the final year Adidas and the NHL were going to work together when it came to on-ice jerseys. This season will mark the beginning of a ten year contract with Fanatics and the NHL.
In a post from NHL.com, the article says that Fanatics worked with the NHL and the NHLPA and went to all 32 teams and got player representatives to test the new jerseys and give their opinions.
Those players included the games best Connor McDavid, as well as Austin Matthews, Steven Stamkos, and the Tkachuk brothers.
Well, another player who got to test it was Chicago's own Connor Bedard. This is what Bedard had to say on the jerseys:
«The Fanatics jersey looks good. I like that there is not a lot of change from the older version, and I also like the design of the new practice jersey.»
Each review in the article, as long as Bedard's, were positive. That's a good sign, as the company doesn't have the best reputation with quality control over the past few years.
We'll see what happens this coming season, and if the jerseys can withstand the power of a young rookie sensation- Connor Bedard.
