During an episode of the Daily Faceoff, guest Connor Bedard revealed that Taylor Hall was his mentor throughout his rookie year as Bedard began his adventure in the NHL.

Bedard went on to explain that Hall had understood what it's like being a first overall pick when he was chosen by the Edmonton Oilers back in 2010 And what kind of challenges were lying ahead for Bedard as he will become the future face of the NHL in the next couple of years.

"There's only so much someone can tell you. I thought Halsey was really good with it. With me, he he was obviously a first overall pick, and he had some of the same experiences. So yet, having him in house and getting to kind of talk me through some stuff was good, but, but those guys been good for sure," Bedard said.

Bedard has had a tougher start to his season along with the rest of his Blackhawk teammates as the team just snapped four-game losing streak against the Los Angeles Kings. He has played twelve games thus far, scoring three goals with six assists for 9 points and is a - 3 but through his last three games he scored no points and is a - 1.

Inconsistencies have been plaguing Bedard this year and with a player like hall who had seen these similar conditions with the Oilers, he will show Bedard how to handle the ebb and flow of the season and being on a team that may not win many games.

Bedard is a deeply competitive player and began to show his frustrations with his season and the Blackhawks season especially after the loss against the Dallas Stars.

He vocalized his frustration to the media and it raised some eyebrows.

No,» Bedard said (via chicagotribune.com). «We're not just going to be happy that we stayed in a game. We're all NHL players. That's not the goal, you know? It's frustrating.

Bedard will get his chance to get back on the score sheet as the Blackhawks take on the Anaheim Ducks on November 3rd at game time will be 8:00 PM eastern.
