One of them was once Blackhawk, now Blackhawk again Teuvo Teraveinen, who signed Teraveinen to the 3-year, $5.4 Million AAV deal.
Teraveinen himself, was a Blackhawks product who was selected in the 1st round of the 2012 NHL Draft, 18th overall. He played three-seasons and won a cup with the Blackhawks, before being sent to Carolina with Bryan Bickell.
Tervainen who scored 25 goals in 2023-2024, has been more a playmaker during his career. His return to Chicago, will be useful as his abilities can increase the offensive potential of this roster.
He looks forward to be able to play on the same line as Connor Bedard, on his right-wing. And with the possibility of Taylor Hall or Tyler Bertuzzi flanking both of them on the left, is a great way to increase scoring potential on ice.
Teraveinen felt his time in Carolina, was helpful to players like Sebastian Aho, who he helped elevate his game. Turbo enjoys being a playmaker and could help elevate Bedard's game also.
Teraveinen also feels like he could be a leader in the locker-room for younger players in the Blackhawks system. It's one of many goals with his return to the Blackhawks, including this:
Kyle Davidson wanted to improve the locker-room and make the team better, and this acquisition is nothing less than an improvement. He's a great player, who will compete to make the Blackhawks better, on and off the ice.
