Projected top 2 pick in NHL 2024 draft reportedly lying about his age

The Blackhawks drew the #2 pick in the lottery earlier last month. Macklin Celebrini is most likely going to the San Jose Sharks, so now it's down to two; Ivan Demidov or Artyom Levushnov.

Chicago seems to be heading more towards Levshunov, but there's one worry about him.

According to former Montreal Canadiens scout Grant McCagg, he thinks there's no way Artyom Levshunov is only 18. McCagg stated, "He looks like he's been 18 for three years.»

Levshunov is from Belarus. Artyom played at Michigan State University this year in the NCAA and tallied 35 points in 38 games. He's considered to be the most well-rounded d-man in the draft this year.

With this news coming out, how much room does he have for improvement if he really is lying about his age? Will they go to Demidov knowing his issues with Russia/SKA St. Petersberg?

Because that's what they're banking on if they select Levshunov. Improvement. If he's really 20-21 years old, how much more are you going to get?
