Auston Matthews calls out teammate Matthew Knies for lying to the Toronto Maple Leafs' media
Auston Matthew took the ice this past week for his first training camp as an NHL captain and received some comments from fellow teammate Matthew Knies.
Knies took to the media and revealed he steamrolled Matthews in tennis, where Matthews followed up Friday and cleared the air, shutting down Knies' comments and stated that he (Matthews) was shocked to hear.
All jokes aside, it's do-or-die for the Maple Leafs' considered 'core four' this upcoming season, where many are believed to be on the hot seat.
As Bladeofsteel pointed out in their sourced piece on the matter in New captain Auston Matthews calls out teammate for lying to the media , the organization has been looked at 'under a microscope' due to the stereotype of being out in the first round each year, it's believed that anything other than a Stanley Cup win will strike fans as a disappointment.
