Vancouver Canucks NHL forward receives horrible news involving cancer diagnosis
There's terrible news to report, as Vancouver Canucks forward Dakota Joshua communicated with the hockey community, that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
The Vancouver Canucks had many players who made breakthroughs, throughout the season, one of them was depth forward Dakota Joshua. He'd play 63 games with the Canucks, scoring 32 points(18 G, 14), and put up career numbers in 2023-2024.
He had revealed himself to be a reliable depth forward, and there has been a lot of hype surrounding Joshua since.
But there's been devastating news surrounding Joshua's latest status.
Joshua utilized the Canucks official accounts to let fans know he'd been diagnosed with cancer. He will end up missing training camp and could miss the start of the season as a result.
The news saw a bit of hope behind it, as he went through a successful surgery and is in recovery, great news for the 28-year-old, thanks to early detection.
This is just a good reminder that everyone needs to be aware of the signs of cancer, to prevent its spread early.
Thanks to intervention he caught it prior to its spread and could rejoin the Canucks later this season.
We hope Joshua feels better soon and are happy to see him catch the issue early on. Here's hoping we see him on the ice very soon this season.
