15-year NHL veteran makes surprise NHL return tonight
In a surprising twist, NHL veteran goalie Tuukka Rask is making a comeback, stepping into the role of Emergency Backup Goalie (EBUG) for the Boston Bruins. This unexpected move comes as Jeremy Swayman, the team's main goalie, is sidelined due to illness.
Decked out in his familiar gear and distinctive mask, Rask, with 15 years of NHL experience, was seen joining the Bruins' practice today.
At 36 and having been away from active play for two years, Rask's return isn't expected to signal a serious comeback. Nonetheless, fans are thrilled to see this legendary player back on the ice with the current team.
Across his remarkable career, Rask played 564 games exclusively for the Bruins, securing 308 wins and an impressive .921 save percentage.
