A New Top Dog Has Emerged in Purchasing The Ottawa Senators and You Won't Expect This Name
The Ottawa Senators formally put their franchise up for sale earlier this week, which sparked a ton of speculation about what would happen to the organization going forward, particularly in terms of ownership.
The link between Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds and the team's ownership has reportedly garnered the greatest attention since the announcement was made official, however that is still only a rumour as of right now. It goes without saying that a few names have so far been reliably connected to the sale of the franchise, and on Saturday, we were able to add another one to the list thanks to Ottawa Senators insider Bruce Garrioch.
CEO Jeff York, who is situated and born and raised in Ottawa, is the most recent to show interest. York, who was born and raised in Ottawa, has served as Farm Boy's CEO since assuming the position in 2009.
Who would you rather take over the Sens, a Canadian star or one of the most popular companies in Canadas' CEO?
